1.1  EGR Canopies

EGR is now the worlds leading designer and manufacturer thermoformed automotive accessories founded in 1973 and is now a global organisation of some 600 employes. EGR supplies products to new vehicle manufactures as well as the after market.

EGR have a range of all Australian made and manufactured in Brisbane. Canopies come with a choice of three different window combinations and hard top lids suited to the most popular models of utilities.

They are manufactured out of strong, thick and UV stable ABS material and finished in robitically A-class paint finish. Two models of canopies are available

1.2  Razorback Canopies

The Razorback Steel Canopy is the first canopy built to an automotive standard.

A canopy for your ute that has combined strength and security are rated to carry up to one hundred kilograms and a steel roof that has been tested to four times that weight.

The Razorback Steel Canopy is suited to many different lifestyles. From commercial to camping, they can be customized with options that suit your lifestyle.

2.  Draws & Slides or Sliders

There is quite a range of draws, slides or sliders in the market place from the traditional and below are two of the most sophisticated and useful.

2.1 Cargo Slide by Proform

2.2 MSA 4×4 Drop Slide

MSA drop slides are designed with a hammering in mind from our rough outback so called roads.

Drop Slide is manufactured from steel with a powder coated flat black finish, bearing sliders, gas struts, locks and roller bearings. The Drop Slide can be used for other items, such as generators and tool boxes as well as fridges!

Available in 3 models they are supplied with a kit to locate the fridges and tool boxes on the tray.

These are the specs of our mid range DS50 model

• Drop: 300mm
• Fridge Tray: 810mm x 480mm
• Slide length closed: 880mm (+20mm for lock)
• Slide width: 595mm (+20mm for nyloc nuts)
• Runner length closed: 865mm
• Mounting floor to base of fridge: 35mm
• Load Rating: 200kg

2.3 Drawers & Cargo fit out

Sturdy drawer construction is absolutely paramount as you hear about home made versions spoiling a trip because it was not up to the job.

Professionally built drawers will not rattle, vibrate or come loose even under the harshest 4WD conditions.

You will be surprised how heavy the load in a drawer can become when packing for a big trip. For example tools, gas bottles and recovery gear can weigh up to 100kg in one drawer alone!

Some things to consider when choosing a quality built cargo drawer system are:

• Make sure you check the load capacity and internal measurements
• Check for ease of use and test the drawers, are they on rollers, are they smooth or do they stick
• The drawers need to be easy to pull out when needed and stay secured when not
• A good idea is to get some recommendations and testimonials from other people
