Offroad Animal Cougar Bull Bar – Nissan Patrol GU Y61 Series 4 (2005–2016) – High Mount Winch

The Cougar Bull Bar is designed specifically for GU Patrol owners running a Warn M8274-50 High Mount winch.

It replaces the factory front bumper with a compact full-steel bar while adding rated recovery points, Hi-Lift jacking positions and mounting options for driving lights and antennas.

Important Winch Fitment

This version of the Cougar is specifically designed for the:

Warn M8274-50 High Mount winch

It is not described by the supplier as a universal low-mount winch bar.

The grille requires trimming to provide clearance for the larger high-mount winch.

The winch can also be installed after the bull bar has been fitted, making future servicing or replacement easier.

Compact Front Profile

The Cougar sits approximately 150–160mm forward of the grille.

Offroad Animal lists the complete bar at approximately 54kg, keeping weight relatively low for a full steel Patrol bull bar.

Recovery Points

Rated tow/recovery points are incorporated into the mounting system.

• 4.5-tonne rating per side

• 21mm laminated steel tow hooks included with the mounts

Driving Light Options

The upper section of the bar accommodates:

• Round driving lights up to 7 inches

• STEDI EVO 8.5-inch driving lights

Fog & Wing Lighting

The factory fog lights are not compatible with this bar.

Each wing can instead accommodate:

• Up to 2 cube lights per wing, or

• An LED light bar up to approximately 8 inches per wing

Antenna Mounting

Antenna mounts are supplied as standard and bolt to the rear of the bull-bar uprights.

Construction & Finish

The Cougar uses a welded one-piece steel construction with welded wing supports.

Different sections use steel appropriate to their function:

• 2mm steel – mesh panels

• 3mm steel – pan and wings

• 5mm steel – mounts and winch cradle

The bar is zinc plated before being finished in matte black powder coat.

It can also be colour coded to the vehicle.
