    An external coating cannot adequately protect the inside of enclosed chassis sections. Endrust ML602 cavity wax is applied as a fine fog inside suitable chassis rails and cross-members.

    The cavity wax is designed to travel into box sections and difficult-to-access areas, coating internal surfaces that would otherwise remain exposed.

    Using both underbody coating and cavity protection provides more comprehensive coverage than treating visible exterior surfaces alone.

1. Vehicle assessment

We inspect the vehicle’s underbody, existing coatings, accessories, modifications and visible corrosion. This helps us determine whether the vehicle is suitable for treatment and whether additional preparation is required.

2. Cleaning and preparation

Mud, sand, salt residue, loose contamination and unsuitable material must be removed before coating. Pre-owned vehicles may require more preparation than new vehicles.

Existing medium or heavy corrosion may require separate remediation before a protective coating can be applied. Rust proofing should not simply conceal serious rust.

3. Masking and protection

Components that should not be coated are carefully protected. These may include brakes, exhaust components, electrical connections, service points, labels and other heat-sensitive or operational areas.

4. Cavity treatment

Cavity wax is applied inside accessible chassis rails, cross-members and relevant box sections using specialised equipment.

5. Underbody application

The Endrust UB302B coating is applied to the appropriate underbody surfaces to establish an even, durable protective barrier.

6. Drying and curing

The vehicle must be allowed sufficient time for the coating to dry before collection. Full curing takes longer, so the vehicle must be kept away from beach driving, water crossings, pressure cleaning and harsh contamination during the advised curing period.

New and pre-owned vehicles

New vehicles

Rust proofing a new or near-new vehicle allows protection to be applied before significant contamination or corrosion develops. Factory corrosion protection varies between vehicle manufacturers and models, particularly where vehicles are exposed to coastal environments or frequent off-road use.

New vehicles generally require a minimum booking period of approximately two days. Modified vehicles may require additional time.

Pre-owned vehicles

Many pre-owned 4WDs can still benefit from rust protection, but their condition must be assessed first. Cleaning, removal of sand or mud, treatment of existing surface corrosion or other preparation may be required.

Pre-owned vehicles generally require a minimum booking period of approximately three days. Additional time and cost may apply where extensive cleaning or corrosion preparation is needed.

Rust Proofing after beach driving

Rust proofing is not a replacement for proper vehicle care.

After beach driving, you should still thoroughly rinse the vehicle using fresh water, paying particular attention to the underbody, chassis openings, wheel arches and areas where sand can accumulate.

Avoid directing aggressive high-pressure spray at close range against coated surfaces. Regular inspections are recommended so damaged or worn areas can be identified and maintained.

Does a new 4WD need rust proofing?

Can you rust-proof a vehicle that already has rust?

Endrust UB302B has sound-deadening properties and may help reduce some road and tyre noise. The main purpose of the treatment, however, is corrosion protection.

How long does the treatment take?

Allow approximately two days for a new vehicle and at least three days for a pre-owned vehicle. Vehicles requiring extensive cleaning, corrosion preparation or removal of underbody accessories may take longer.

When can I drive on the beach again?

Endrust advises that UB302B may be driven after its initial drying period, but full curing generally takes approximately three to five days. Can you coat over mud, sand or existing rust?

No. The coating requires suitable surface preparation. Mud, sand, salt residue, loose material and unstable corrosion must be removed or treated before application.
