RIVAL Aluminium 5-Plate Bash Set – GWM Tank 300

The RIVAL Aluminium 5-Plate Bash Set provides underbody protection for the GWM Tank 300, covering the radiator, engine, transmission, transfer case and fuel tank.

These components are exposed to rocks, ruts and uneven ground during off-road driving. A hard impact to the lower drivetrain, cooling system or fuel tank can cause significant damage and potentially leave the vehicle unable to continue.

Unlike the 3-plate set, which covers the radiator, engine and transmission, this kit extends protection further underneath the vehicle with additional transfer case and fuel tank bash plates.

Vehicle Fitment

Designed for the following GWM Tank 300 configuration:

• 2.0L engine

• Automatic transmission

• 4WD

• 2023 onwards, as listed in the component installation instructions

Compatibility with earlier models, hybrid variants and other powertrains should be confirmed before ordering.

Underbody Protection

The set consists of five separate aluminium bash plates, each covering a different area beneath the vehicle.

• Radiator Plate: Protects the lower radiator area from rocks, debris and impacts that could damage cooling system components.

• Engine Plate: Covers the underside of the engine, helping prevent direct contact with rocks and raised ground.

• Transmission Plate: Provides additional protection beneath the automatic transmission, reducing exposure to impacts that could damage the gearbox housing.

• Transfer Case Plate: Protects the transfer case housing, an important part of the vehicle's 4WD drivetrain, from ground contact and rock strikes.

• Fuel Tank Plate: Shields the underside of the fuel tank from rocks and uneven terrain, helping reduce the risk of damage to the tank.

The five-plate arrangement extends coverage beyond the front drivetrain components to include the transfer case and fuel tank further underneath the Tank 300.

Construction

The RIVAL bash plates are manufactured from 6mm aluminium alloy, providing a protective barrier beneath the vehicle without the weight of an equivalent-thickness steel plate design.

Construction features include:

• 6mm aluminium alloy plates

• Pressed reinforcing sections for panel rigidity

• Ventilation and drainage openings

• Vehicle-specific mounting arrangements

• Corrosion-resistant aluminium construction

The formed sections add rigidity to the plates, while the openings allow ventilation and drainage where required.
