Offroad Animal Scout Roof Rack – Chevrolet Silverado 1500 T1 (2020–Present)

The Scout Roof Rack gives the Silverado 1500 T1 a low-profile platform for carrying touring gear, recovery equipment and other roof-mounted accessories.

Rather than using a generic platform, this rack is designed specifically around the Silverado roof and uses six aluminium T-slot cross rails, giving you plenty of usable mounting positions without adding unnecessary height above the cab.

Vehicle Fitment

Suits Chevrolet Silverado 1500 T1 models from 2020–Present.

The same rack is listed in the 4WD Obsession catalogue against both the MY20 pre-facelift and MY23 facelift Silverado 1500.

Load Capacity

The supplied roof-load figures are:

• 100kg on-road

• 66kg off-road

The rack itself weighs approximately 27kg.

After allowing for the rack weight, this leaves approximately:

• 73kg available cargo capacity on-road

• 39kg available cargo capacity off-road

Always include the weight of accessories and cargo when calculating total roof load.

Usable Rack Area

Approximate usable platform size:

• 1275mm long

• 1340mm wide

The rack adds approximately 75mm to the vehicle's overall height, keeping the platform close to the roof.

Six T-Slot Cross Rails

The rack uses 6 aluminium cross rails with T-slots on all four sides.

These accept compatible standard T-nuts, allowing accessories and tie-down points to be positioned along the rack where required.

This makes the platform suitable for a wide range of touring gear and compatible aftermarket accessories.

Construction & Finish

The Scout Rack uses lightweight aluminium construction and weighs approximately 27kg.

The rack is finished in matte black powder coat.

A standard non-light wind deflector is included at the front of the rack to help reduce wind noise.

Optional Light Bar Wind Deflector

An optional replacement wind deflector is available for mounting a large forward-facing LED light bar.

The light-bar wind deflector is sold separately.

Sunroof Note

If the vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, the rack limits sunroof operation.
