Offroad Animal Predator Bull Bar – Nissan Patrol GU Y61 Series 4 (2005–2016)

The GU Patrol is built for rough country, but the factory front end still benefits from proper protection once you start tackling tracks, touring or travelling in animal-strike areas.

The Offroad Animal Predator replaces the factory bumper with a full steel, winch-compatible front bar, while adding rated recovery points, lighting positions and Hi-Lift jacking points in a relatively compact package.

Vehicle Fitment

Suits Nissan Patrol GU Y61 Series 4 models from 2005–2016.

The bar is:

• ADR compliant

• Airbag compatible

• Full bumper replacement

• Installed without cutting the factory bumper or grille

Compact Front Profile

The Predator sits approximately 150–160mm forward of the grille.

Offroad Animal lists the bar at approximately 49kg, keeping the overall front-end weight relatively low for a full steel bull bar.

Winch Compatibility

The bar suits most low-mount winches up to 12,000lb, including the Warn Zeon.

The winch:

• Mounts feet-down

• Requires no additional winch cradle

• Can be installed after the bull bar has already been fitted

A number plate flip bracket is supplied for winch-equipped vehicles.

Recovery Points

Rated tow/recovery points are built into the mounting system.

• Rated to 4.5 tonnes per side

Lighting Options

The centre of the Predator can accommodate a single-row LED light bar up to approximately 22 inches.

Fog & Wing Lighting

The factory fog lights are not compatible with this bar.

Each wing can instead accommodate:

• Up to 2 cube lights per wing, or

• An LED light bar up to approximately 8 inches per wing

Construction & Finish

The Predator uses a welded one-piece steel construction with welded wing supports.

Different areas use different steel thicknesses:

• 2mm steel – mesh sections

• 3mm steel – main pan and wings

• 5mm steel – mounts and winch cradle

The bar is zinc plated before being finished in matte black powder coat.

It can also be colour coded to the vehicle.
