Offroad Animal Scout Roof Rack – Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 (2011–2021)

The Scout Roof Rack gives the WK2 Grand Cherokee a full-length platform for carrying touring gear, roof-top tents and other accessories, while using a mounting system designed specifically around the WK2’s unusual factory roof structure.

Rather than loading everything directly through the individual factory roof buttons, the supplied steel mounting rails tie the mounting points together and transfer the load along the stronger outer section of the roof.

Vehicle Fitment

Suits Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 models from 2011 to 2021.

The rack:

• Works with factory sunroofs
• Fits around the shark-fin antenna rather than covering it
• Requires the vehicle to have the factory threaded roof mounting points
• Installs without drilling

Offroad Animal lists the Scout Rack at:

• 120kg dynamic load rating
• 240kg static load rating

The rack itself weighs approximately 22kg, or approximately 29kg including the supplied steel roof mounting rails.

Always account for the weight of the rack and accessories when working out how much cargo can be carried.

The rack provides a carrying area of approximately:

Accessory Mounting

The aluminium rack panels use square mounting cut-outs that accept compatible cup-head bolts, making accessory installation straightforward.
