Offroad Animal Scout Roof Rack – Jeep Grand Cherokee WL 5-Seater (2022–Present)

The Grand Cherokee WL uses a series of threaded roof mounting points, but simply loading a rack through those individual points can concentrate weight into relatively small sections of the roof.

The Offroad Animal Scout Roof Rack uses full-length steel mounting rails that connect all six factory mounting points on each side and transfer load toward the stronger outer roof structure. The result is a large, low-profile platform rated for touring gear, roof-top tents and other roof-mounted accessories.

Vehicle Fitment

Suits Jeep Grand Cherokee WL 2-row, 5-seat models from 2022–Present.

The rack:

• Installs without drilling

• Works with factory sunroofs

• Fits around the shark-fin antenna rather than covering it

• Includes the required Offroad Animal roof mounting rails

Load Ratings

Offroad Animal rates the rack to:

• 120kg dynamic load

• 240kg static load

The system has been tested to AS1235-2000.

The aluminium rack itself weighs approximately 22kg, increasing to approximately 30kg including the steel mounting rails.

Remember to include the weight of the rack and any fitted accessories when calculating your total roof load.

Seven T-Slot Cross Rails

The platform uses 7 aluminium cross rails, each with T-slots on all four sides.

These accept standard M8 nuts or bolts, giving you plenty of mounting options for touring and recovery equipment without needing a vehicle-specific bracket for every accessory.

• Recovery boards

• Shovel and axe mounts

• Hi-Lift jack mounts

• General touring and camping equipment

Construction & Finish

The Scout combines aluminium rack components with steel mounting rails.

• Steel components are zinc plated and powder coated matte black

• Aluminium components are chromate coated and powder coated matte black

A wind deflector is supplied as standard to help reduce wind noise at road speeds.

Roof Height

The rack adds approximately 125mm to the vehicle's roof height.

Its low-profile mounting system keeps the platform close to the roof while still providing usable clearance around the factory sunroof and antenna.
