Offroad Animal Scout Roof Rack – Toyota Prado 250 Series Kakadu (2024–Present)

The Kakadu’s panoramic sunroof changes what will fit on the roof, so this version of the Scout Rack is designed specifically around the Prado 250 Kakadu rather than using the same mounting setup as the other 250 Series models.

It is a 3/4-length aluminium roof rack that starts around the B-pillar, giving you useful space for swags, tents, recovery gear and other bulky touring equipment while retaining the Kakadu-specific roof configuration.

Vehicle Fitment

Suits Toyota Prado 250 Series Kakadu models from 2024 to Present fitted with the panoramic sunroof.

This rack is Kakadu-specific. Other Prado 250 variants use a different Scout Roof Rack.

Low-Profile Aluminium Design

The Scout is made from aluminium and weighs 27kg complete.

It adds approximately 50mm to the vehicle height, measured at the top of the shark-fin antenna, keeping the rack relatively low compared with a traditional basket-style setup.

The rack is finished in matte black powder coat.

T-Slot Mounting

Six aluminium cross rails run across the rack, each using T-slots that accept standard M8 nuts and bolts.

That gives you flexible mounting positions for compatible:

• Awning brackets
• Recovery-board mounts
• Tie-down points
• Roof-rack accessories
• Touring and camping gear

The usable load area measures 1240mm wide x 1760mm long.

Load Ratings

Offroad Animal lists the Scout at:

• 100kg dynamic load rating
• 75kg off-road load rating
• 250kg static load rating
• 27kg rack weight

After the rack weight is deducted, Offroad Animal lists 73kg available on-road and 48kg available off-road.

Any permanently mounted accessories and carried gear also contribute to the total roof load.

Wind Deflector & Light Bar Mounting

A front wind deflector is supplied as standard.

The deflector includes a removable cover that opens up a mounting position for a compatible 42" LED light bar, keeping the light integrated into the front of the rack rather than sitting on a separate bracket.

Lighting is sold separately.
