Offroad Animal Scout Roof Rack – Toyota Fortuner (2015–Present)

The Scout Roof Rack gives the Fortuner a full-length, low-profile platform for carrying touring gear and mounting roof accessories without going to a traditional basket-style rack.

Seven aluminium T-slot cross rails run across the rack and accept standard M8 nuts and bolts, giving you plenty of flexibility for mounting awnings, recovery boards, tie-downs and other compatible accessories.

Vehicle Fitment

Suits Toyota Fortuner models from 2015 to Present.

Fitment differs depending on model:

• GXL / Crusade: no roof drilling required
• GX: holes must be drilled in the roof for installation

Low-Profile Aluminium Design

The Scout uses aluminium construction and weighs 28kg complete.

It adds approximately 90mm to the vehicle height and is finished in matte black powder coat.

T-Slot Mounting

The seven cross rails use T-slots that accept standard M8 hardware, giving you flexible mounting positions for compatible:

• Awning brackets
• Recovery-board mounts
• Tie-down points
• Roof-rack accessories
• Touring and camping gear

The usable storage area measures 1830mm x 1100mm.

Load Ratings

Offroad Animal lists the Scout at:

• 120kg dynamic load rating
• 80kg off-road load rating
• 320kg static load rating
• 28kg rack weight

After the rack weight is deducted, Offroad Animal lists approximately:

• 92kg available on-road
• 52kg available off-road

The vehicle manufacturer's roof-load limit also applies. Always use the lower applicable limit between the vehicle and roof rack when working out how much gear can be carried.

Any permanently mounted accessories also form part of the total roof load.

Wind Deflector & Light Bar Option

A standard front wind deflector is supplied with the rack.

An optional light-bar wind deflector is available for integrating a compatible single- or double-row LED light bar up to 42 inches into the front of the rack.

Lighting and the optional light-bar wind deflector are sold separately.
