TAMC Paddle Shifter Kit – Nissan Patrol Y62 (2013–2025)

Add fingertip manual gear control to the Y62 Patrol without changing the way the factory automatic transmission normally operates.

The TAMC Paddle Shifter Kit allows the driver to select gears from the steering wheel when the transmission is placed in manual mode. This keeps both hands close to the wheel when holding a gear while towing, controlling speed on a descent or selecting the most suitable gear off-road.

Manual Control at the Steering Wheel

Instead of reaching down to the factory gear selector each time a manual shift is required, the carbon-fibre paddles place upshift and downshift control behind the steering wheel.

The kit does not alter the transmission’s normal automatic operation. When the vehicle is left in automatic mode, it continues to select gears as usual.

Plug-and-Play Electronics

The electrical system uses a plug-and-play wiring harness and dedicated control box.

No ECU reprogramming is required, and the factory wiring does not need to be cut or spliced.

Magnetic switching provides a defined paddle action, while the paddles are supported by a CNC-machined aluminium mount with a black-anodised finish.

Gloss or Matte Carbon Fibre

The kit is available with:

  • Gloss carbon-fibre paddles
  • Matte carbon-fibre paddles

Both versions use the same control system, harness and aluminium mounting assembly.

Installation Options

Installation requirements vary according to the Y62 model and the preferred wiring finish.

A basic installation is available for compatible Ti models and avoids modification to the steering-column trim, although some wiring may remain visible.

A concealed installation routes the wiring through the steering-column area for a cleaner finished appearance. This method requires two holes and two small slots to be made in the lower steering-column trim.

TAMC advises that Ti-L models require the concealed installation method.

Early Series 1–3 vehicles use a different steering-wheel backing arrangement that may move or distort. The backing should be inspected during installation to ensure there is sufficient clearance and prevent contact with the paddles.
